There is one Vortal tip, that I’d like to share, to help people to get the best results. Many phones have two cameras, one facing out when you look at the screen, and one facing back towards you. In most cases, the better camera is the camera facing out on the back side of the phone. It’ll be the one with the best flash and focus, and the better camera produces better results with Vortal. To worsen things, some of the selfie-side cams use a digital brightening algorithm (the ones without a selfie flash). This destroys the depth of light in a photo that is needed for good transformation.
I considered disabling the ability to switch to the selfie cams in the app, but I know that some top of the line phones have great selfie cams, and I wouldn’t want those to go to waste. For the rest of us, it has to be the back camera for best results.
